At least The Grease Is The Word winner gets to smooch with a pretty girl this time
Danny Bayne, 19, and Susan McFadden, 24, will soon be sizzling together on stage but they're not an item in real life.
Susan has a mystery boyfriend (believed to be stage actor Adam Booth) and Danny is in love with girlfriend Nicci Weston, 22.
'We first met in a club,' Danny recalls. 'We were at the same drama college, but I hadn't seen her before and when I spotted her across the dancefloor I was like: “Oh my God, I'm in love!”
'Thankfully, she fell for me and we've been together for two and a half years now.'
When they open in the West End, Danny will be spending more time on stage kissing Susan than at home with Nicci, but she isn't the jealous type.
'She knows that in our line of work, it has to be done,' says Danny. 'I've had to kiss men before – that's the way the business is.
'Producers want to see believable performances.'
