The 26-year-old has been sent back to the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California, to finish the 23-day sentence she began last Sunday night.
Earlier today, Hilton was instructed to appear in person at the court hearing--she had originally been due to sit in via telephone--at which prosecutors appealed the decision to release her on house arrest yesterday for medical reasons.
Los Angeles Sheriff Lee Baca had insisted the decision was made on medical grounds, but critics claimed the hotel heiress was granted preferential treatment.
Hilton was last month sentenced to 45 days for violating her parole following a 2006 drunk-driving arrest. It was later reduced to 23 days.
