She told the Daily Express: "It's a very strange thing to start dating again in your fifties.
"I don't think it's fun at all waiting for the phone to ring again but, then, I found it difficult and awkward when I was young.
"I was very protected and chaperoned in the big bad world of pop.
"And I was never absolutely confident about myself. I was basically quite shy."
The flame-haired singer continued: "I'm hopeful that I will get married again.
"But it's not the case of 'I've got to' or 'I must'.
"If it's right, great; if it happens, it would be nice.
"Who knows what's in my future but I kind of feel it might be."
