Balls to Pete

KATE Moss is teed off with her cheeky mates for printing Pete Doherty’s mush on her golf balls.

The 33-year-old model has had Marbella’s Los Naranjos Golf Resort closed down to the great unwashed for the weekend so she can take her mind off her split from the the Babyshambles singer with some hardcore club swinging.

And the brittle poser’s tactless chums thought she would enjoy a good old chuckle by putting Doherty’s mush on the balls they have had made.

Unfortunately, the only balls Kate wants to hit belong to the chappies that made the ill-advised joke.

Our man with the bogey said: "Kate is staying at a friend’s villa in Spain but she’s spending most of her time playing golf to push Pete out of her mind.

"So the last thing she wants is a picture of the guy who broke her heart on the equipment. She’s very sensitive about the break-up. And it’s definitely too soon for jokes."

Kate dumped Pete, 28, last month after watching DVD footage of the singer’s life, which saw him flirting with various groupies.

And the stick insect was not hugely chuffed when Pete decided to tell anybody with a face about their relationship problems and publicly begged her to take him back.

But she is not yet ready to have a good old guffaw at his expense, despite the dodgy bleached barnet he currently has.

An insider added: "Kate will always love Pete. Their relationship has been on and off more times than Jodie Marsh’s pants.

"And although she’s very angry with him at the moment, she is still fiercely loyal. And she will never allow anybody other than herself to make fun of him.

"So she was a righteous figure of indignation when she was shown the comedy balls.

"And she stormed off the golf resort and waited until they apologised and brought her clean balls. Her anger seemed to do the trick, and she scored a hole-in-one."
