Spice Girls reunite… and then go solo

THE Spice Girls are to unveil a secret plan behind their reunion which will be announced this week.

Fans will not be getting just the band’s old favourites on the whirlwind world tour.

Victoria, 33, Emma, 31, Geri, 34, Mel C, 33, and Mel B, 32, will each perform one of their solo hits.

The fivesome are holding a press conference this Thursday to confirm the return.

It will involve gigs in the UK as well as across the globe in places like the Far East.

The gigs will feature all of the Spice hits including Wannabe, 2 Become 1 and Viva Forever.

But we can reveal they will each have a solo spot.

A Spice source said: "The girls obviously want to play all the Spice hits but they also want to pay homage to their own solo careers too.

"Mel C is the one who suggested they each do one of their solo tracks and the other girls are happy with the idea. She’s thinking of doing Never Be The Same Again. Geri wants to go with Look At Me. The others are still deciding."

The source continued: "They’re all really getting into the momentum of it now and getting really excited.

"But they feel the fans would like to hear some of their solo stuff because a lot of former Spice fans have supported their solo careers." The source added: "It’s not been decided yet whether they’ll have time in the show to do the full solo numbers – they may do a solo medley where each sings a part of one of their solo hits."

And the girls will also film a television special about their return to the pop scene.

The source said: "It will be a ratings smash … and no doubt do better than Posh’s LA show!"
