Colin Farrell: 'Muireann McDonnell Is the One'

HOLLYWOOD - Irish actor Colin Farrell has disappointed scores of female fans by declaring his girlfriend of seven months is "the one."

The Miami Vice star, who has been dating fellow Dubliner Muireann McDonnell since December, insists the 22-year-old medical student is "a great girl" and the pair is "really happy" together.

He says, "I met her in Dublin while I was home from L.A."

"She's a great girl, we're really happy. It's easy to find girls, but it's not easy to find the right one."

Last month, McDonnell's ex-boyfriend John Mark Knight committed suicide after struggling to cope with his former love's relationship with the Hollywood star.
