Police Enforce No-Parking Zone Around Paris Hilton Home

HOLLYWOOD - A strict no-parking zone has been enforced around Paris Hilton's West Hollywood home, in a bid to avoid a repeat of the media circus that enveloped the area earlier this month.

The socialite was released from jail on Tuesday morning, and Los Angeles officials are keen to limit the amount of noise and press obstruction to Hilton's neighbors.

Anyone parking in mile-long no-stopping zones will face a $70 fine and a $101.50 tow charge for a standard-size vehicle.

Police hope this will act as a deterrent to photographers in the next few days.

A spokesman for the L.A. Department of Transportation, Bruce Gillman, tells the Los Angeles Times, "We put up signs on Saturday. We have verbal warnings on Monday and expect to be out here in full regalia (today).

"We have a legion of tow trucks at the bottom of the hill gathered like vultures."

More than 50 complaints about noise, including helicopters flying overhead and press obstruction, have been filed by local residents in recent weeks.
