Yellow Carpet Out for 'The Simpsons'

HOLLYWOOD - Animated movie The Simpsons had its world premiere in the family's newly adopted hometown of Springfield, Vermont, on Saturday.

Actors dressed as Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie walked a specially made yellow carpet at the Springfield Theater in front of thousands of fans.

The Simpsons creator Matt Groening enthused, "As Homer would say, 'Woo-hoo.'"

The Vermont town beat 13 other Springfields across the U.S. to host the premiere.
