-- sphereit start -->LOS ANGELES (April 25, 2007) -- Everyone knows the paparazzi are willing to go to great lengths in order to get the money shot of celebs, and when it comes to stars like Britney Spears, it's every photographer for themselves.
But apparently some are willing to go to greater lengths - or in this case heights - than others.
On Tuesday, the paparazzi captured footage of one of their own attempting to scale a light pole to get a clear shot of Brit, while his colleagues urge him to get down.
"Hey Tarzan, you're gonna die. Stop," one cameraman tells the climber. "You're gonna hurt yourself."
When one cameraman tells the man he's going to break his leg, the pole-scaling photog replies "I can fix the leg."
Eventually the overeager shutterbug gets stuck halfway up the pole. An SUV even pulls up offering assistance so the man can step down onto the vehicle's roof. But he eventually shimmies down to safety.
Once on the ground, the ascending photographer explains his decision to climb the pole.
"I want to be the #1 just like her," he tells the camera. "I want to do in my job what she does in hers."
