NASSAU, Bahamas (April 25, 2007) -- Larry Birkhead is bringing home his baby.
Following a closed court hearing earlier today, legal officials told Access Hollywood's Tony Potts that Larry Birkhead is free to leave the Bahamas with his daughter Dannielynn.
Though Birkhead is barred from revealing court information, when Potts asked the L.A. based photographer if he would be in the Bahamas this weekend, he burst out in a smile.
"No I won't be here," Birkhead said. "Take that any way you want."
He also hinted at what his grin might mean.
"I can't say much but a smile is worth a thousand words right," Larry asked.
Earlier this month, a Bahamian court revealed test results confirming Birkhead is the father of late model Anna Nicole Smith's seven-month-old child.
Smith's longtime companion Howard K. Stern was listed as the child's birth certificate as the father and that was one of the things which kept Birkhead from getting the child a passport and taking her out of the country.
Access Hollywood has learned baby Dannielynn's birth certificate is being changed to reflect Birkhead as her father as a result of today's hearing. Tomorrow, the child will get her first passport and it is expected to read "Dannielynn Birkhead."
Meanwhile, Stern revealed he is championing Birkhead.
"I just want Dannie to have a good life, and I'm hopeful that Larry is going to provide that for her, so it is bittersweet," he said. "It's hard but i just want her to be as happy as she can be."
One person who had nothing to say upon leaving the courtroom was Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur who has been battling it out with Birkhead in court over the child. Sources say she has pulled out all the stops trying to block Birkhead's Bahamas departure with his daughter.
