-- sphereit start -->LOS ANGELES (April 25, 2007) -- "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis is in trouble with the law yet again.
Francis has been charged with one count of misdemeanor sexual battery, following a filing by the LA City Attorney.
Frank Mateljan at the LA City Attorney's office confirms the charge, noting that it stems from an allegation made by an 18 year-old woman who was seated next to Francis at a January 10, 2007 birthday party.
The woman claims that over the course of an evening, Francis touched her breast, buttocks and inner thigh 10 different times after she asked him not to touch her.
He will be arraigned on May 22nd in the Hollywood Courthouse. If convicted he faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $2000 fine.
This is just the latest in a string of legal troubles for Francis, who is currently serving a sentence of 35 days in jail in Florida after pleading guilty to a contempt of court charge on Monday.
Francis was also indicted by a federal grand jury in Nevada earlier in the month, on charges that his companies claimed millions of dollars in false business expenses.
