HOLLYWOOD - Salma Hayek has been voted the hottest celebrity in the world by a new Internet poll.

A total of 3,000 celebrities were ranked by E-Poll, which discovered a staggering 65 percent of the U.S. population would describe Hayek as sexy.

The pregnant 40-year-old edged out younger contender Jessica Alba into second place--but the poll discovered older stars are the hottest, with 36 being the average age of the top 15 actresses.

The top 15 sexy celebrities--and the percentage of the population who found them sexy--are as follows:
