Hasselhoff's Ex: 'Drunken David Assaulted Me'

David Hasselhoff and wife Pamela

HOLLYWOOD - David Hasselhoff's ex-wife, Pamela Bach, has revealed the Baywatch star used to assault her at the height of his alcoholism.

The revelation comes after a new video, shot three months ago, features footage of an intoxicated Hasselhoff growling obscenities at his teenage daughter Taylor as she attempts to talk sense into her father in a Las Vegas hotel room.

Hasselhoff has come forward to admit he asked his daughter to capture him drunk, so he could see what a monster he became.

And now his ex-wife hopes the hard-hitting video will prompt Hasselhoff to get the help he needs.

She says her ex has been an alcoholic for years and she naively thought he would one day just stop drinking.

She says, "I thought, 'If he just wouldn't drink, everything's gonna be OK. Life is good, we've got two beautiful girls--they're amazing.'"

But Hasselhoff's boozing started to become a big problem when he started attacking his wife when drunk.

In an exclusive interview on news show Access Hollywood yesterday, with her lawyer by her side, Bach confessed her ex had assaulted her while drunk, adding, "That's not something I really wanted out (there)."

Fighting back tears she said, "It's embarrassing and you think, 'What did you do?' You come to the point you didn't do anything."

And Bach confessed she doesn't trust her ex with their two daughters--when he has been drinking.

She adds, "I don't trust that he can hold his disease at bay... but when he's sober he's a wonderful man."
