The family series, starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, won't be back for an eighth season later this year.
In a statement released yesterday, a spokesman for Warner Bros.--the network behind the show--says, "Announcing the final season of Gilmore Girls is truly a sad moment for everyone.
"This series... created a fantastic, storybook world featuring some of television's most memorable, lovable characters."
