Paris Hilton was back behind the wheel of her Bentley yesterday and using her mobile phone.
The 26-year-old blonde bombshell faces a 45-day jail sentence for driving while banned.
But she got lost and was seen with her mobile as she reversed and also appeared to be sending text messages.
Paris left her Hollywood home in her £120,000 convertible to meet a new lawyer about her appeal against the jail term.
But as the hotel heiress drove to Century City, Los Angeles, she ended up in a dead end.
She is said to have made three U-turns before she finally reached her destination.
One onlooker said: "She had printed out Mapquest directions, but still pulled a few U-turns and drove up a dead-end street. Paris looked like she didn’t have a care in the world.
"She was also texting while she was driving, but that’s not illegal in California."
According to Hollywood reports she has dropped top criminal defence lawyer Howard Weitzman in favour of Richard Hutton, who specialises in drink-drive cases.
She was seen sobbing after leaving his Century City office with her mother Kathy, 48.
Paris was found guilty on Friday of driving on a suspended licence.
But the judge did not re-impose the licence suspension which ran from 30 November, 2006, to 29 March, 2007.
